brake pad advice...

It's been a long time since I've used much other than magura rim brakes or discs, so I'm a bit out of touch. If anyone could advise on what would be a good choice of brake block for cantis (peg mount) ?

Obvious options on CRC look like:

Koolstop Thinline or Fibrax - does anyone have experience of these?

If there's not much difference I'll go for the Fibrax cartridge ones, which come with an extra cartridge for 6.99.

cheers

i use koolstop for cross, way better than fibrax, i think they give you spares coz the wear so quickley! koolstops are more expensive but are good, i use the dual compounds, i sell them for 9.95, thinks that is normal rrp

I have used both, got on well with them both, to be honest can't really tell a great deal of difference....

However, going from the V's on my RTS to disc's on my Avalanche.......

Yeah - I'd forgotten about Aztec's - used to use them back in the day, and Koolstop eagles. anyoen else got good comparisons? Wondering what to take as my spares for Strathpuffer 24hr next weekend.

Cartridge style sounds good for ease of replacement while knackered hungry and with numb hands, so that points in the way of the Fibrax at the moment - don't fancy trying to set everything up correctly after 17 hours of wet, cold riding...
