bottom bracket trek 930

hello
first post from me and was wondering if anyone can help me
i need a new bottom bracket for my trek
its i think a 94/95
firstly how do i measure a bottom bracket
and how do i know what one to get
there seems loads about
is there a contact for trek or is bike to old for them to help
i have emailed them but thought you guys seem clued up

What chainset are you using?

If keeping the current Chainset then remove the old BB and it should If your lucky state which size it is.

Is your Trek 930 similar to the one in the work bikes section?
 
As above - if you want to use the same crankset (square taper) then just measure the overall spindle length of the existing bottom bracket, and buy another the same length. The bottom bracket shell width will be 68mm, but measure it to make sure......

Bottom brackets are specified by shell width and spindle length - eg. 68mm x 108mm. You won't go far wrong with a Shimano UN72.

yes it looks the same as yours except blue samr logos and also says singletrack
the front hub and pedal say shimano and have an A engraved
on top of shimano
it is a polished alum one
wil post some pics when i get a min
