Howdy - anyone know or willing to guess the bb spindle length for a set of campy black mirage cranks and a set of mid 90's sachs new success cranks?

most lower end square taper campag stuff from the 90s onwards seems to sit on a 111mm ISO axle.

the Veloce square taper BB is a bit porky, but is readily available and lasts well.

Cool - I have an 110mm knocking about at home so will try it. Hopefully the Sachs will be the same as they were sometimes made by campy too.

I've got a 111mm Campag BB which you can have for postage. It's got a little bit of play, but will get you started.

If the Sachs ones are by Campag there will probably be a marking somewhere that gives the game away, especially on the rings if it still has the originals. Earlier (pre-1994/1995??) New Success chainsets were sourced elsewhere - I don't think Sachs made their own; the ones in the link seem to be by Thun of Germany - and designed to work with SKF bottom bracket units:

Dunno if those were JIS or ISO though.

iso BBs usually fit JIS cranks well , as long as the end of the axle doesn't protrude into the bolt area. but the Q factor will be 1 or 2 mm narrower than advertised
