Only had one MK2 Escort, was a 1600 Ghia, would have been early 90's, been through Mini's, Hillman Imps, Yank Muscle cars, always seem to return to old Fords. Know what you mean about the prices, i still laugh when i dig out a Classic Ford mag from 02-03 and see MK2 RS2000's for 2K, MK1's were about double, sure i seen a MK1 RS2000 for sale somewhere the other day for 35K.

Might have some pics of mine somewhere.. the Capri enthusiast place I got my suspension from reckoned they'd never seen another in that colour..

Thought about a 2.8i but was considering a 2.9 stroked to 3.7.. which never happened.. lost heart when the crank went wonky so sold it and bought an XR4i - which someone stole :(
