Nice! What fork are you thinking of?

The build is going to be XTR and other bits from '93 - so, unless I can find something more appropriate, it'll be a pair of Manitou 2.

Bought from 2ManyOranges - here's his back story on it:-

Early Bontrager Race OR naked frame - virtually unused.
Metallic deep purple - almost black - gorgeous colour in my view.
15inch frame centre bb-centre tt - defined as a Bontrager ‘medium’
Only a few miles since originally bought from Santa Cruz - maybe 50.
Brought from the ‘States then put into store
Twin piece rear stays. Roller for front mech.
Flat plate horizontal dropouts. Open end to wishbone tube.
Original seat clamp.
Serial number 0020 - id’d as first batch from Cannery workshop in 1991.
Absolutely no dents, dings, or tube damage.
BB threads perfect.

Oh...low mileage comes from coveting it too much and just riding it on a few 'heritage' rides.....otherwise sat in the workshop being gawked at and generally loved....

The photo doesn't do it justice - it is such a deep purple - who I once saw play live in Texas :)

And thank you for being taller than me :)

As sad as I was for the Ti-Lite being abandoned, I'm very excited to watch it become this instead!

So things seem to be progressing - a second set of Manitou2 have arrived and been stripped - and I almost have enough to put together one that'll fit the Bonty :)

There's an M900 front mech; XTR cabling; Bonty Ti bars and some PorciPaws on their way.

Oh - and some shiny Ti bolts for the Manitous :)

Both pairs of Manitous are totally devoid of anything that'll make em bounce - and there are options out there.
Any experiences of them - Suspension Fork Parts do a kit - a German spring kit - and a couple of peeps on here doing elastomers.

So I'm not looking to introduce too much colour to the build. The frame decals are white with yellow - so any thoughts on....

I'm pretty sure I have a Flite kicking about somewhere that's black with a yellow logo - were they yellow?
