Does any one know anything about the above?
Just bought a set and was wondering if they're any good ,I'd heard they were difficult to true though i cant think why
And does any1 know what a king classic front hub[32h] is worth,[may have a spare 1 now

As far as I'm aware, I thought they were just a Bonty branded std' King hubset ? I was gonna buy a set off Chipps at a stw recycle event years ago and they still had the same freehub drive design with the mad noise...

They were nice looking wheels, thought of bidding myself, though a little fragile for me due to the lack of spokes, 24 front 28 rear?

Proper King hubs but not sure how easy it is to get replacement rims?

And just like any wheel to true.

Good for £156.

I bought those wheels off chipps, well indirectly, via simon. they're on my hillclimb bike so I havent given them a proper thrashing to be honest.
hubs are standard king, so replacement parts will be easy to get.

thanks guy's been a help ,I'm intending only light usage [I'm too old to go thrashing ,thats a young guys game],light enough for lugging up the stairs is all I'm after,oh and being the best in the world

Big Al Gow at wheelcraft in Clacan of Campsie[near Glasgow]is 1 of the best builders in Scotland. he has an incredible amount of rims,if you need an obscure or hard to source rim ,he'll prob have 3,
Dont think i'll ever trash a rim[god willing]The bike is for pottering about,going to the shops etc[somehow ive turned into an old guy]

I've got a set on the P20. Killed the rims awhile back, but the King hubs are still going strong. I've rebuilt them with Mavic Crossride ceramic rims, 24 and 28 hole 2cross spoking A bit flexy, but light and reliable

yes,bonty branded chris king wheelset,not the pimpy gold rims though,these are black with red on the rims and black spokes and hubs

I got the ti bonty skewers with them
