BOLT HELP

any machinists out there ?

got some avid levers cheap the other day , gone to fit them today and the bolts have been rounded

anyone able to lathe some into a similar shape ? dont have to be exactly the same , just prettier than the bog standard heads

i have a 4mm headed bolt thet will thread into the mounts , so if someone that can do it and has the bolts , please let me know

you may well damage the thread by turning down that one, may be worth starting with a longer screw allowing enough space to grip the screw in the laithe, then cut off the damaged thread part later.

Or you may be able to recut the thread.

jonathan, try looking for ti bolts on ebay. maybe thomson seatpost replacement ti bolts are fairly similiar.
