BMW Williams F1 Roadbike

Hi allenh! I have the very same BMW Williams F1 road bike. Purchased it in 2008 or 2009. I was a big JPM fan so for me it was a must to have. I used my bike quite a lot when I did triathlon, but it is now just hanging on my wall and I decided to keep it as a nice decoration. I have the original forks, the seat (with some scratch) and the campagnolo set. I am afraid my wheels are not the original ones. Although it is mainly an alu frame with some carbon parts, it is just a bit more than 7kg, which is quite good. What do you think the value could be of such a bike today?

Nice to hear. I still have mine and I'd love to see a picture of your forks as I'm not convinced mine are original. Value wise that's a how longs a bit of string question as where you live seems to have a huge bearing when it comes to the value of 2nd hand bicycles, so its really more a question of how much someone will pay and because there so few of these there are very few past sales to go on.

I don't plan to sell it. I have great memories riding on it and for me this is a beautiful object. I only changed the clippers (to Schimano) but I have the original Campagnolo ones too. Mine is a 61. I am a tall guy.

I like that Williams colourway. As mentioned, strange they were aluminium at that point but I guess if some were getting packed and unpacked as pit bikes durability was key
