Blue knob syndrome

Something called the perineal nerve that goes from A to b, basically from where you are describing to back yonder, saddles play merry hell with that nerve and the only saddle that has not caused that problem for a long time with me is the Specialized body geometry sadle, because specialized have responded to a problem many cycling males encounter.

Also note alongside that nerve runs an artery, retro saddles effectively crush, which might very well be the cause of your problem either that or you have poor circulation and it is cold, extremities and all that

But like it or not cycling can cause damage to that area resulting in impotency.

An article to read and think about;

Currently I run a retro saddle, but a heavy gel filled affair and no numbness so far, so leave the blue bits to those that can afford it.

Well some interesting responses.

Silverclaw many thanks for those links I am today investing in one of the specialized seats to see if it makes a difference.

I didn't know that in some people erectile disfunction can be caused by cycling due to lack of blood flow caused by this nerve being pinched to restrict the blood.

Thankfully the old love wand is still very active so this blue meenie may have been a lucky advanced warning. I will report back once the new saddle has been tried for a while.
