unfortunately the earlier design with the slightly more crack prone durability issues. The later ones are teardropped out at each end of the crankarm, by the pedal eye, and at the square taper, to beef it up where some were splitting out. Only pointing it out in case anyone was planning a real hardcore build; ) Lovely stuff though
