Bloody leaky roof

Duct tape a tarp patch (or seal a water proof membrane of your choice) over where it leaks and put a dehumidifier into the conservatory. That way when the dry day comes the joint should already be ready to work on.

If you only have the occasional dry day you'll never have time to dry it out properly.

90% preparation for glues, paints or anything like that I am afraid.

Also with that method, no pots and pans on the floor.

Will have to see what i can do then when the weather allows me :( :( :(

just have to put up with pots everywhere at moment

You only need a 5 minute break in the weather then;

Towels, white spirit or isoproponol and a rag, duct tape and tarp.

Done, then wait for the proper dry day to fix the darn thing.

Good luck.

I've currently got about 3 litres of water per day coming into my basement (which is also my bedroom!!) :(
Got the water board coming on Thursday to test it to see if its natural or not.
Always had damp issues but its never been a water feature before!
Could be a few things in the for sale section soon to pay for the repairs :roll:

You're rich, sod the water board, they just want to steal your clear gold.

Think positive, it's not a leak, you've found an ancient mineral water spring in Dorset.

Call it Dolvic and start a bottling plant from your basement room.

Good enough for coke, good enough for you;

There is an area of the wall where the damp course was damaged by the previous owners. I'm pretty sure the water is from an underground stream or spring (I live on the side of a hill and very close to the sea!).
Hoping that the tests prove me wrong and that its leaking from somewhere else but will have to wait and see.
Bloody water!!
