EVERYTHING I send to ebayers is Recorded delivery at the least, purely because of 5h*t like this. The ONE time I forget, and "Bang", I get my pants pulled down.

I'd report them to the Police as stolen.

You've got their name, address and all the documentation to show the Police.

If you still have contact with the prick through the Paypal dispute process, I'd tell them that's what you're doing as well.

Definitely a good idea to get the Old Bill involved. This is theft after all and if you have all the info should be pretty cut and dried.

Doh, bad luck :(

Thats a real bast**d sort of act, its fraud, theft and they should be stopped. I would go round to the address you sent it to and calmly explain your problem and outline that ebay, and the police have been informed and given your statement. I would also explain that the post office have been given a copy of the statement as it is also fraud to make a false claim for compensation to royal mail. It may prompt an apology and your stuff returned.
I would ask to see the goods for sale to verify that they are yours, or not.
If nothing happens they will just keep on doing it.
This is also why everything, parcel wise should go recorded if its a 'sale' item. It only costs 70p or so extra and I just factor it in. Even on here to people I know its sent recorded as there is less chance of it disappearing.
I worked in a post office back home for a while, sorting and delivering, I also know a few posties over here and mistakes get made but its very rare for a parcel to just disappear. A lot less likely if its recorded as it is scanned at various pionts.

That WILL be an option, but I'm gonna refrain at the moment and see if I can resolve it 'gentlemanly' first. They only need to cover my financial losses, and all this will be over. Just over £40 and they can happily keep the items (and carry on trying to sell them, to get their money back).

I'm just waiting to hear back from them by 7pm tonight, and then I'll take it further.....
