Sold a bunch (5) of items recently, 3 of them went out on the same day and the buyers were very happy with them. Last two items went to one buyer, and after a week or two, the old 'item not received' plonks in my inbox. So I go through all the rigmaroll of that crap from ebay and paypal, have to give the buyer a refund so I'm £40-odd down and I don't have my items.

Have a wild fooking guess what the buyer has listed in the last 24hrs?
MY ITEMS!!!!!! :x :x :x

The one second you drop your guard (or forget to do recorded delivery) someone's there ready to shaft you. No sorry that should actually be de-fraud and steal from you.

So today I'll be mostly speaking to a foreigner from ebay on the phone, and if I get no joy, I'll speak to the police, and the last resort will be a drive to the seller's house....

Whatever happened to good old fashioned honesty, instead of people trying to shaft each-other all the time. :?:

Disgraceful  Hopefully Ebay will take a very dim view of this although of course you may have a problem proving that the items are the ones you sent.
Of course, one of us could 'buy' the said items and do the same..then return the property to the rightful owner.

That sucks! It would be interesting to bid on those 2 items that seller has in his auction and see if he accepts your bids. Can you point eBay Customer Service to his auction and claim fraud?

All the relevant messages have been sent. The seller has two items for sale at the moment, and low-and-behold they are EXACTLY the same as the two items they bought off me.

I'm no mathematician but the odds of them NOT being mine, are pretty high.

It'd be worth the 90minute drive just to put the freighteners up them...

I can't believe that something so petty (in the grand scheme of things) has got me so livid. :x :x :x

Once resolved, name and shame so that all may avoid the miscreant!

No problem

Just to point out that it wasn't anything bike related, so pretty unlikely to be anyone on here :)

One of the biggest mistakes ebay has made, of late, is taking away the ability of the seller to leave negative/neutral feedback for the buyer. It's a licence for the pi55-takers out there to do what they like, with no repercussions :x

I'd report them to the Police as stolen.

You've got their name, address and all the documentation to show the Police.

If you still have contact with the prick through the Paypal dispute process, I'd tell them that's what you're doing as well.

Yep,
And in all the rigmaroll of their claim, I have a signed copy of a statement (from the buyer) saying that they hadn't received the item, and could claim for losses through Post Office
