bloody dogs

i cant believe some of the stuff posted on here. i dont think kicking dogs is anything to be bragging about on a public forum. i do realise a problem exists but the dogs are doing what comes naturally to them. it is the owners you need to be dealing with.

if i saw a cyclist kick one of my dogs, i dont quite know how i would handle the situation

I have that film kaiser , haven't managed to get past the opening 5 mins yet . I don't understand why he speeds up on the pavement when its inevitable he will get soaked by the truck , he should just stay put and wait for it to pass

Victorian era french cyclists had the right idea, a 'Velodog', small calibre pistol armed with pepper shot :twisted:

I like dogs and do not like guns but I really do not enjoy being pursued by a dog intent on getting me or my bike.

Modern high power water pistols do seem a good bit of kit to pack if there is a hound just asking for it

What's that saying now??? "Prevention is better than cure" By kicking the dog i am warning it to feck off, because beleive me if it bit me it would not bite again as either A. I would sort it out along with the owner or B. I would let the police deal with it and if its happened before it would be the end for it. Dog owners always say dont blame the dog blame the owner, Well i say bollocks to that it isn't the owner that's trying to eat me, so deal with the dog and THEN the owner.

Now don't get me started on the subject of responsible owners and there turd laying machines leaving shite everywhere!!!

Aye, an muckle saft weemin an' aw................

American flyers is a good flim- I remember seein' it on TV a few days after I got my first road bike. You can imagine my surprise when I watched the tour and noticed that:

A) No cyclist has a mustooche

ii) There was no Russian team, bearded or otherwise.

Breaking away is good too- has teh late Patrick Swayze, and the wee skinny bloke who went on to play Rorshach.

It is the owner's responsibilty to control the dug- as ye say, they are doing what they are built for, in a sense.............a Collie, for instance, will chase anything, but are harmless- I usually just go along with it..........last time, one herded me into a small enclosure- the six other cyclists already in there felt more sheepish than me, I would say.
