Firstly I want to make it clear that not everyone does this..just a very small but dishonest minority
Do we have any rules about posting bikes for sale without photographs?
I ask because summers coming, word seems to be getting out a retro market exists and pound to a penny of horseshit..some of them are stolen
I'm lucky in that I've never had one stolen but dread the day when it does happen
those that sell them tend to advertise on ebay generically in the title say..mountain bike..only to reveal say it maybe a kona in the description..this normally foxes the owner who's looking for it
in gumtree they do the same but also do not put a picture up until you click on the advert and see the hidden details
so..given we seem to be having a rise at the momment of newbies posting bikes for sale never to be seen again after the sale..I wonder wether it should be a requirement/safeguard against stolen bikes... to have a picture of the actual bike for sale as well as the add ..or get the add pulled?
what do you think?
