Just a subjective thing with me, I don't "like" straight forks and I dislike the appearance that the brake bosses are clamp on.

Fair enough.

Just seems weird in this case as a Bontrager Composite is more or less the fork of choice (then and now) for a Salsa frame.

I love a straight fork personally. And the clamp on bosses means the fork is versatile as versatile can be.

That said, I love a classy curved blade too. In fact, I’m looking forward to my next couple of bikes for the simple reason I plan to use a curved rigid fork on them! It’s a straight blade stable over here right now… Every single ride, now that I think about it!
