Biggest FAILS of 2011

Loved it! Two clips stood out for me:

1. I hope that wasn't Harryburgundys wine shop!
2. wtf was the guy with the green kawasaki thinking!? Does he know how to operate the front brake!?!?

Front brakes won't help if the rear tyre's grip exceeds that of the front. If you watch the video again (that bit starts at 8:53), you can clearly see that the bike lifts the front wheel a bit and then takes off. There's just no way to avoid it ... apart from using your brains in the first place.

My old FZR was the same. It would spin the rear tyre for 5 seconds, and then it would just take off regardless of how hard I applied the front brake. Luckily I was smart enough to only do burnouts when I was actually sitting on the bike.

Thats a good point! Don't those guys normally have the bike tipped up slightly with the rear wheel raised to prevent excessive traction when doing these stunts? Thus avoiding that sort of situation!?

remember stuff works in an opposite mode when your stood in front
and pushing harder on the brake lever will probably result in him turning the throttle more panic mode stes in and 636 kawa bites him

tis the perfect clip tho

dont mean he's not stupid either

.

Fantastic
Loved the copper/soldier betting run over by his own vehicle :D

An the yellow crane being dropped off the side of the bridge reminded me of work

Lifting the rear to decrease grip could help indeed. Putting your weight on the front is enough in most cases, as it adds grip to the front tyre. I think he simply didn't put his weight on the front end because the front fairing was in the way and he didn't want to scratch/damage it by resting his body on it.

@ mikee : Doesn't matter how hard he applied the front brake.
The brake only works when the wheel is on the ground, and the 636 only took off once it managed to get enough grip to lift that front wheel. As soon as that happened, the crash was inevitable.
Still, it's his own fault. Unless you're a professional stunt rider, stay ON the bike when you want to act a fool.
