Hi, I am looking at various ways of renovating an aluminium frame (my RC100) I have a couple of options,

1- media blasting
2- paint stripper

Which would be the prefered way and why. My incling is to go the stripper route as there may be a risk of texturing the frames finish using a blasting method.

The nitromors route would need to be extremely carefully handled as the frame has plastic cable guides on the top tube that i would rather not remove.

Im planning on having the work done professionally, I would just like to know which route to specify.

What would you do.... option 1 or 2

Nitromors won't affect most (if any?) plastics that are in common use (if you've ever noticed, the lids on the containers are plastic...) so it should be OK as regards the cable guides.
