IMHO the Rock Lobster 853 is very underated. Worth seeing in the flesh also, as the the attention to detail is very good also. Great kit too if buying as a full bike.
am i just being stupid here but looking at this, it seems they only do it in 15", 17" & 21" options... is that not a bit limited?

No 19" is the missing size, They prob just don't have any in stock. I love my rock lobster, you can just forget about the bike and ride, it's great fun.

there's no frame specs on the website, i've emailed Paul in the states to see if he has any specs sheets he can let us have.

At bike-discount.de in germany they sell this one for 2200 EUR. Looks good I think.

What I've never understood is how come custom steel frames can ever work out cheaper than mass produced ones.
£900 would get you a Dogsbolx custom built. That's a great machine, surely at that price it can't be beaten.

Best Steel Frame

Just picked up a Voodoo Bizango from http://www.sidewayscycles.co.uk/product ... 08&clid=18 - £300 thought it was a good price. I'd been seriously looking at Pipedream Bikes - http://pipedreamcycles.com/front_page_menu.html - they seem to be pretty good and have had good reviews. The Sirius looked a bit of a bargain and quite fancied the Brewmaster - 853 and Carbon for £425. Pipedream seemed to be able to offer choice of colours as well. Practically all the frames I looked in my price range came in one colour - why?

Loads of good suggestions that I won't even try to add to but the key is probably to decide on budget as some will naturally rule themselves out.

But if you budget is, for example, £500 for a frame why not look at the likes of IF etc. secondhand? Are these 'better'? Maybe, maybe not. But at least worth a look?
