Re:

I was about to say......Shockabilly. A Mk2. Very rare, very capable XC machine, and unfortunately not cheap when you do find one.

For me the best is the Santa Cruz heckler SL year 1999. Full equipe, good geometry, 10,2Kg (with or without pedals?) and very good looking.

Mid 90's Rocky Mountain Element TO! I remember reading up on early fully tests and the Rocky always won. Light stiff and good suspension setup plus classic looks.

The rear suspension of the element TO was amazing. But the front headset angle ... not very good for me in my element TO 1999. I prefer the late models.

This was my element TO, weight was 9,6kg with pedals. Incredible fast but the front angle ... I sold it because I have a ETSX70 and it has much better geometry, like modern bicycles.

Dispite that, it was a very good bicycle. The rear suspension was very soft and don´t interact with pedal much. The problem is the front suspension, you need a good one to match with the rear.

I really like the look of the Santa Cruz Heckler; they seem to be rare though. The Marins and Specializeds also look good, and may be easier to find.
