Bent mech hanger alloy frame.

Received a frame today but unfortunately the rear mech hanger is bent slightly in 2 directions.

In towards the other drop out.
Towards the bottom bracket so closing up the drop out hole slightly.

Its a non replaceable hanger and is aluminum.

If it was steel I would not be so concerned, but being aluminium it worries me.

Is it likely fixable by a frame shop or decent bike shop do we think?

DIY. A threaded hub axle typically fits. Screw a flat washer either side and slowly bolt down to flatter, or use as a guide and manipulate the axle. All very slow and gentle. You should be able to widen the gap with the same approach.

Did I say slow, gently and incremental gains.

As long as you are careful you should be fine.

I’ve realigned many like that using the proper tool.

I’m not sure it would hold up to another impact once bent back though.

What frame?

I've done a fair few steel frames but obviously ally reacts differently, so I expect it would be a safer option to get a bike shop pro to do it.

Its a carbon / alloy Stork.
