Any body know if cyclists are allowed to cycle up & down it? Any body done it?

It's scotland, go where you want. Wouldn't be fun though and would involve a fair bit of carrying on the way up. I assume you mean the tourist path, Mr Panda is our Nevis Area expert.

Few folk have done it, seems to crop up in the mags periodically. Maybe of more interest is the Tour of Be Nevis, mtb stage race roon the Ben. Or.... Mr P is threatening to plan a Big Country escapade in the area too.

The problems come from it being very busy with walkers, it's like oxford street at christmas in the summer months

ideal for your weenie kestrel TT carry up and pick your way down
did it 10 or so years ago and it was tough going with a bike
some bits rideable some not
it is worth the climb on a good day tho

Well may be i'll give it a go next spring/summer. Take a Trimble where no Trimble has been before.
Or Mikee we can make it two Trimble on top of the Nevis

I haven't been but one of my bikes has done it. My Parkpre Pro Image was ridden by Chipps when MTB Pro did a feature on riding the three peaks - Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike & Mount Snowdon. The bike was on loan as a test bike at the time. I bought it from the importers when it was returned to them. Slightly secondhand with blown Rockshox Judy XC's. They supplied Manitou 4's as a replacement.
