Hi,
This is my first posting as I've only just discovered Retrobike.
I've enclosed a .jpeg file showing my beloved 1991 Salsa A La Carte
which I have owned since new.
It's not a truely retro build as this bike has evolved over the years through
constant use, but there are a few class bits remaining such as the Grafton
cranks ('91) and the Mavic BB (also '91 - 16 years service with only 1 set
of new bearings 18 months ago - boy were they hard to find !!! ) and Mavic rear mech - very rare.
This bike currently gets used 3 - 4 times a week on my 20 mile round trip to work.
My weekend play bike is a 1997 ( is this old enough to be retro ?? )
Santa Cruz Heckler which has also evolved over the years and is an
even greater
ride since it's had a 5th Element Air fitted - it's transformed the classic Heckler
single pivot design.
I'll post pics and a spec sheet of that soon, for anyone that's interested.
Cheers Rick
