Re:

Had a bit of me time today. Remarkably easy to strip. Everything came off the frame without too much trouble, but sadly sexy deore biopace cranks refused to give up a cross threaded pedal so destined for scrap. May recycle the rings. a gentle rub down to check rusted areas and lashings of kurust applied.

And i think we have a new UK record for head tube length coming in at 10 imperial inches.

Seat tube is 25" C to T.

Bigger than big bingo....

Sounds like a blissful couple of hours.

What tubing is it? 531 all terrain?

Re:

No work today. just spent hours figuring out hub gear/brake setup on no braze on frame. got it to work but hated it. not puncture friendly with tabs and braces fixed to frame stays, no chain tensioner, only five speeds (sturmey) and crap braking. Going back to cantification or possibly V. got wheels and all that stuff lying around here.

Do I do a day glo rainbow job on it or do I invest in a couple of tins of enamel from Boyes and have a laugh?
