bb size for m900 xtr chainset / 1993 zaskar

Hiya....Tricky lad was asking the same question yesterday.....I forwarded him the details of GT chainline and relevant Shimano charts as originally posted to me by forum member GM 1230126.....73mm x 107 seems to be the answer...anyhow...have a browse and decide for yourself

Scroll all the way to the bottom of the chart where it shows the 47.5 and 50.0mm chainline figures. From what I remember most all the GT's were built to a 47.5mm chainline so that would be a 107mm spindle. Just looked and a couple of my Zaskars have the M737 crank and I can see 107 stamp in the spindle.

Shimano's own published chart shows the same thing and one of the mods should make this link a sticky....very valuable for those of us building up bikes.

THANKS FOR THAT I'll go with the 107. gona ask in the road section as i think this size will be more comon with road bikes

FITTED A 107 . seems perfect for the zaskar as the chainstays curve in to allow clearence for the chainset. even have a few mm gap! cheers everone for your help
