I have a pile of exploded bits which hopefully will be a full bike with me on it at the Peaks on Saturday! :o

Went To EBC (Edinburger Bike Coop) at dinner for a BB, they had for my Muddy Fox Sorcerer Mega what is hopefully the right size for 500LX cranks 68/122 not seen that size online either, but at £24.99 I'm expecting UN73 means XT! :? :D

So they said I should get it re tapped (i wasn't expecting that :?: ) and I don't have a tool to fit BB anyway, they want £18 for that service :o :? , "OK OK yeah"

"Oh we can't do it till 12th Sept" FFS :(

OK well good excuse to get my BB, and my flexible 'friend' and run!

So I still need it fitting!

Its not gammy or owt in there I thought about tracing the thread lightly with a screwdriver and apply copper grease and screw in by hand,, or just clean well.

Then, get it tightened/buy tool, or go to another shop! 12 days to fit a BB, the frame was there-- in my hand!

Anyway,

So I'm looking for tips, services, or recommendations to a tool to buy, they said theirs were Park and about £15.

I remember EBC staff being a bit sharper and clever when it opened last year.. :?

cheers

Take it to Harry Hall, they'll sort it in no time if you can catch the mechanic when he's about.

EBC probably had too many curries from down the road

LOL, Half tempted with an order from CRC now cheers as I need tyres too, Should try Harry Hills though sometime, I even get 5% discount IIRC with my staff card. really rated EBC when it opened but now not the same service i was initialy wowed with.
