barrel-less front-hub

Retro Newbie
Does anyone remember a barrel-less front hub that just had alloy flanges supported on the bearing outer races. Maybe early 1990's or even before. Looked sweet but i guess it didn't actually work.

I seem to remember something along the lines. There was a hub with a clear poly-carbonate shell bonded to the flanges (who's name escapes me) as well.

*edit*

the "hard drive" is a bit slow on Mondays. Hershey.

I think you are referring to the "Kynetyk Psykolz Unhub".

The design uses a solid axle with bearings and spoke flanges pressed on either end. Interesting design and it worked, apparently.

I can scan the MT Action review if you like. It's from Aug 1995.

Thanks guys. So atleast two versions then. Not getting the picture of the Kinetic but its probably the one i remember. Never had one.
