bargain '95 trek

I like it - apart from that fugly bar/bar end combo!

...and welcome to the '...used-to-have-some-money-in-my-account-but-I-don't-know-where-it's-gone-club!'

Bars would be ok without the bar ends...

I actually quite like your bike, it's very reminiscent of the 'track bikes' of my youth :D

I wonder why no one else is commenting on your bike.

Because it is beyond reproach, obviously. Except for the front tyre, that looks a bit worn, I would change that then it's good to go, oh and maybe sort out the front cantilever so that the nuts are on the back of the brake rather than the front as they should be, and maybe change the brake levers from V-brake ones to cantilever ones, and im not sure about the headtube extender/stem/riser bar/barend combination but other than that its a spot on trek 800.

I reckon you should start a thread asking people to suggest names for her, I could think of a few.

you guys are cool; what are you doing on this thread?

Good for you Olly; everybody starts somewhere. Pete is actually giving you a couple good tips, despite his delivery.
I'd suggest not looking to spend anymore on this bike, and start looking to upgrade, now that you got your feet a bit wet.

Just pokin' around checkin' out some cool bikes. Olly said he was open to criticisms, but I'm going to refrain.

thanks for the comments all taken on board.

Got some more purple bits coming, but i'll be saving them and taking the dia compes of the trek and putting the altus ones back on.

The purple bits will be going on my new project when i get it next week, a 97/98 saracen terra trax.
