Make a lovely bike for the smaller gent, a female or older child.
Restored with everything cleaned and rebuilt, lubed/ greased, only non original items being gear and brake inner cables, a few bolts, plus I restored the stem and bars as time had not been kind to the paint.
Everything works great, this bike must have barely been used, aged related (storage) marks.
Spec:
Frame - 16.5” Trek Antelope 850 with True Temper OX chromolly double butted frame tubing (US made steel) gunmetal grey/ purple and vibrant orange paint scheme. Quality frame with nice features.
Forks - (Sakae Japan) Trek suspension fork, spring and elastomer. In good working order.
Headset - Tioga Avenger ST
Stem and bars - Chromoly
Grips - Trek
Seatpost - Alloy microadjust
Saddle - Trek System 1 Shock absorbing gel
Seat QR - Trek alloy quick release lever
Wheels - Araya VP20 rims on Shimano Exage front and rear with Trek Cliffhanger front and rear specific tyres. (Still have most of the mold hairs on!). shimano QR’s.
Gear shifter/brake units - Shimano Altus A20, very nice aesthetically even if lower in tye groupset hierarchy.
Rear mech - Shimano Altus A20
Front mech - Shimano Altus A10
Cantilever brakes - Shimano Altus A20 with as new blocks.
Chainset - Shimano Altus A20
Bottom bracket - Shimano sealed
Cassette - Shimano 7 speed HG
Chain - Shimano HG
Pedals - original plastic with toe straps
Elite bottle cage.

Hey guys, not done a build thread for a while but found this for sale near me looking forlorn but 100% original wity very little signs of use on the parts. Plan being to fully strip, clean polish with only new cable inners needed and repaint of bars and stem. Pics as she stands pre strip down:
