Bare C16R ‘96 silver med (17inch) frame

Even though the market is abou as lively as an arthritic slug right now, I thought I would continue to try to reduce the pile of Orange bits in the barn. More to come. But here’s a frame which can be the immediate start of a nice build. No need to bother with strip and repaint since the original tough as tough enamel is still near perfect. Lovely lustrous silver with orange Orange decals (see what I did there). F7 forks ling gone I am afraid, but these were usually run with Pace RC 35s or Judys anyway.

One inch headset of course.

No dings
No dents
No cracks
No corrosion
Just lovely really.

I am 5-7 and it fitted perfectly, with a 125-130 stem and the original 10 deg layback post. Orange ‘medium’, which is around 17 centre bb to top of seatpost and around 15.5 to centre of top tube. Excellent UN51 included, which I installed with loads of antiseize.

No idea of currrent prices - it’s all gone mad. 90gbp plus postage? Or something like that?

Sounds like a bargain! All these lovely orange frames, if only they were a tad bigger...

Are orange sizes smaller in comparison then? I thought a 17” frame would usually be ok for me at 5’11 but sounds like this in orange would be too small?

I think you’re fine with a 17” at 5’11 - I have a clockwork and a prestige in 17” and I’m 5’11. For me it fits well - it’s not cramped.

Hmmm...I’d be cautious about 5 11 on this - depends what you riding you want to do...just to be clear it’s 15ish inches centre bb to centre top tube and 17ish inches centre bb to top of seat tube.
