Hi, thinking of getting one of these frame's off the ebay seller. He does a 17" pierced seat tube model and a 19" standard frame. Im thinking of building a lightweight singlespeed bike and wondered if any of you guy's have any experience of them. Ideally, the 17" one would suit me better and they seem to fit the bill of thin tube's and sloping top tube look that im after. If they are no good, can anyone suggest a light thin tubed frame as a good basis. Cheer's Dave. :D

ive had a couple of these of him and they are very good frames orthough not the lightest frame about they build up into good bikes, specify if you want v bakes or canti as i think he has both

There's a thread here somewhere about these frames and from what I recall they get the thumbs up :P

I've had forks off him and they are good for the money

I was wondering about these Saracen frames, where did they come from, anyone know ?

I did think that quite possibly it was Saracen themselves, as there was a bit of a financial hiccough a few years ago and perhaps they sold off old stock.

heres one i made earlier, used all my leftover parts for a friend

They are 1" 1/8th headtube  built up a singlespeed last year it rode really nicely :) and on the 19" frame the chain length worked out perfectly so no need for a tensioner which was a bonus :)
