Just want to check that it is fine to use autosol on my Ti frame....it has a polished finish which i want to get back to pristine....

It's a pretty rare frame and i don't wanna make a mess of it....any advice folks? :)

No...don't do it.
Edit...I'll try and qualify that...I did use some on a Ti frame that I once had in an invisable area and the finish was not good.
What frame are you refurbishing...what was the original finish. If you are going for max polish I think Jewellers Rouge is what you are after.
Hey...but what do I know

1500g sand paper and some finishing polishing followed by White scotchbrite sheets cut into strips and a finishing polish. Just wrap it around the tube and buff. I haven't seen a machine finish as good.

Thanks for the advice folks....haven't gone near it with the autosol so that's a relief....

As it has light scratches i might well take the 1500g sand paper and finishing polish to it....cheers for that....

It's a 91' Litespeed Ti which came in a polished finish, which I quite like as it's not what you normally see as a finish for Ti frames....

It'll be posted up when it's finished but that could be a while if i don't find some Litespeed Ti Forks or the missus puts a block on spending

I think you're going to have to explain that one

A topic already discussed recently, and all agree that hand polishing takes a lifetime and is never as good as a professional job at a metal polishers.

Autosol works fine, but takes a while.

If it's a blasted finish frame, then it will want blasting again.

Neither process would cost more than £40 labour, but of course there are decals on top as well. But, consider it like getting a new frame, as that's how it will look.
