All those 'crappy' VW's run an air suspension system of some sort (Bag/shox) so have a 6" lift at the touch of a button.

I rather like P6s, but I've been sorely tempted by a Vitesse after seeing these recently.

And they make a lovely noise

Any SD1 with a Rimmer Bros stainless exhaust is instant man trouser stiffening.


My last SD1 sat in the works car park gathering moss after my first w126 purchase. I just coukd not face driving it!

Next stop is a nice loud exhaust for the testosterone amplifier.

I've always loved the look (and sound!) of a black Vitesse. Sadly not something that I've seen for a very long time indeed now

Still, we have one Rover in the family (well, an MGF) so I haven't entirely missed out on the "slightly flawed but full of character" thing which British cars have done so well

To stay on topic, a friend's A4 has just logged an inlet manifold flap-related fault yet again - it's on its second inlet manifold already and it's only three years old. You can get a decent car for the price of the inlet manifold replacement!

Audi (and most manufacturers to be fair) lost the plot quite some time ago as far as I'm concerned, it's all about pointless technology for the sake of it now The B3 and B4 were much more to my taste...
