Auction Watch part 2 - we're a sneaky bunch!

I really can't see posting it here is going to push the value up. If you've found xyz by searching so have 50 others...

I've bought a fair bit of stuff that was listed in the Auction Watch forum, therefore if I hadn't seen it, it would by definition have gone for a lesser amount. The question is: would I have seen it otherwise? Answer: probably, therefore Auction Watch will not have inflated the price.

The ebay and market watch section, i pop finds on now and again,always reckoned most see these items anyway but not every1 ,which is why i post
auction watch is for grouping similar stuff together and its very handy
,my last look was for xt ,and i got myself a pair of lx f&r mechs [the black ones]and a pair of xt thumbies for the princely sum of £1
Thumbies are missing the labels but they still look ok and i can cover them with something
Obviously nobody else saw them as the opening bid was £1 and finished with mine the only bid
If i wasnt going for them i'd have posted them up
I trawl through ebay a lot and see many things i could post up,but for some reason i feel embarrassed about posting loads of items and try to post only the interesting ones,i feel i dont want to clog up the section and have to worry that im outing somebodys dream

peteMc, as carsten mentions those headsets have made a lot more, I've seen them make over £200 (my 2 together didnt cost 1/4 that much

I guess I'm just like everyone else, if I see something cool that I want to bid on I certainly wouldnt add it to auction watch! ...although to be honest theres no much left I'm lusting after

..ebays deffo a sellers market for retro going by the current mega hyperinflation in prices!

I agree with all who state "If I want it, I'm keeping it hush-hush, but if I am not interested, I'll post it up". I do the same. Just did it with the Tioga Disc Drive. Totally not interested in one of those, but someone else may not have checked Ebay today, but may have popped into Auction Watch. I'm happy enough to help them out. I'm sure I'm pouring salt into the wounds of someone who was sniping that auction, but c'est la vie.
