i do have lots of contacts within the industry old and young which is where i get most of my stuff from.

i just love buying and selling, i also feel guilty when i have bought something that i want but know i cant afford! silly but true, so sell it on!

That's interesting Dave....'cause when you sold me the Kilauea, you pleaded student-esque poverty...even gave you an extra £10er ...
The frame was great the rest was worn out shite, and I paid well over the odds.

To me that isn't just earning a bit, that's fleecing.

Sorry Mods, delete as appropriate.

Sorry for being thick but what was this thread about to begin with? It has been edited and I am having trouble reading between the lines?

I do a bit of buying and selling to pay for the odd drink and holiday for the family, just wish some of you guys would cut me some slack!

Well well, that wasn't what you told me when I asked you a direct question.

It doesn't matter now anyhow.

So long.

Having received multiple PMs complaining about this user I would strongly advise people not to use his shop > http://www.theretromountainbikeshop.co.uk

Konamad posted a link to a new and exciting web shop selling retro bike stuff. He had just happened to come across it and thought we may be interested in it.

Konamad I think people were cutting you some slack by trading with you again. Then to advertise your new venture you devise some crap ruse about finding a site selling vintage and retro parts, hardly shows the honesty that you would like to see from someone your buying things from. Also shows your opinion of us if you think for a minute anyone couldn't see it was your own business. Ideally you could have contacted John or a mod and been up front about what you were doing, advertise on the site and provide a service, other people do. To start of with a lie doesn't bode well.

On a slightly different note - if it was my shop I'd be very worried about the copyright issues surrounding the use of all the images that appear on its pages... infringing copyright can be very expensive.

That was the first thing I thought. . . time will tell. . a lot of the pix are from defunct brands, but one definately isn't. . . . and I have a feeling Shimano might still be going. ..
