Aspergers traits ?....my odd behavior

I ask as if it's a serious thread, I have a little insight into the world of mental health, but if it's a p take, I'd hate to turn up in fancy dress to a hoax party.

perhaps you should go and see if any help is available. Your GP might be a good place to start; ask for a referral to a psychiatrist.
GP has to be the first choice. But getting anywhere can be a very steep hill climb.
In many places there's little on offer without a GP referral.

i was just wondering if what i put down at 1st rang any bell with either Aspies or non aspies on here. Not looking for anything too deep. My sister inlaw is just completing a masters in clinical psychology i could ask her what the latest news is. Or my wife know the head of mental health in some county. Just wanted to see if what i said was acceptable or strange behavior :?:

Autism is sometimes referred as extreme male syndrome .

Very hard to get a statement for a child at the moment as the costs involved for councils are huge .

I drop the 2nd 1/2 because it isnt relevant to the above.

Its not referred to by anyone with aspergers or by people dealing with them but usually academics doing studies. Its a theory, nothing more.No clinical proof as such.

Perhaps the question should be do you think it's acceptable behaviour?

There is no-one here who can give you a sensible answer. Not through a forum, anyway.

I work with an Aspie, and have one in the family.

VERY long story short, the only way they ever cope is to force themselves into every awkward and uncomfortable situation, and to cope with said situations.

This, to most of us, is everyday situations and interactions. The more they do this, the more comfortable it becomes.

Same as 95% of the population then, just on a higher level of 'uncomfortable'.

Oh, The internet is a bad place for typical Aspies, as it re-enforces the ability to avoid human contact and everyday life.

My 2p.
