I was just browsing on t'bay when I saw this. It's listed as a Paris Dakar groupset (which it isn't) but the pedals look interesting. My French isn't good enough to make sense of the description and Google translate isn't much help. Does anyone know what they are? (pics 7, 8 & 12) Thanks https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre ... 3872289080

They look good! The body anyway, the silver cage looks to be homemade, nice anyway

Re:

They look just like SSC 640 road pedals with custom/homemade cage plates. Lovely pedals with fab bearings so should work well off road. I like 'em!

Fab pedals the ssc 640, these look home modified as you say but personally don't think they needed it.

Just replying to this thread as it is an interesting sale. I asked the guy in french what these were. They are indeed prototypes. He told me he bought parts from an engineer who worked for Mavic. "Je le sais car j'ai acheter un lot de pièces mavic à un ancien ingénieur de chez mavic.C'est lui même qui m'a dit que les pédales étai des prototype"

I only see one hub, no rear mech and dx thumbies.....

Was trying to put together a groupset for a build, only got as far as wheels, front mech and a headset.

Slinky pedals, though I'd afraid to ride on them.

You get the mavic bb, a rather rare mavic crank, a purple mavic headset and a normal one, which I didn't know existed. Ritchey levers etc etc.
