Are RS Crowns Interchangeable? - now with photos

Just picked up a set of Mag forks from ebay - think they may be 10's or 20's - sure they're not 21's.

Looking for a steerer with at least 240mm on it (It's a big frame)

Anybody know where I can source a new threadless one in 1 1/8" at that sort of length or could I pick up a Judy / Boxxer crown and fit that instead?

Any help would be appreciated

mag crowns only fit mag forks, judy & boxxer wont fit.

There is a NOS Mag crown on eBay.de

No international shipping or Paypal listed, but the seller may be interested if you get in contact? Lots of Germans have Paypal, but don't use it due to charges, if you offer to pay fees etc. you might get lucky. I'd be prepared to pay a few bob, not gonna be many uncut steerers around and even my 20" Kona only needs 210mm, so the chances of finding a cut one with 240mm left is gonna be uber slim.

Oh, and if you find a 190mm one on the way, i'll take it!!

Boxxer post a few pics of your forks.

Note there are escentially 4 (well 5) types of MAG steerer.

The original MAG20 from '92 (and MAG10 but from '93) <-- don't get these, tended to snap/debond and I know some where recalled
then the MAG21 form '93
then eventually the MAG21 etc form '94 onwards.
there is also the SLTi alu steerer one.

(5th is the roadies forks which you don't want )

Mag series forks can use
- RS1
- Mag 10/20/21/30
- Specialized Future Shock
- AC/Bonty/etc. special crowns

Probably Indy and Quadra upper leg/crown assemblies might fit, but I'm not sure.

Anybody know if the Jett Forks came with a removable crown / steerer, they look very similar to the MAG series forks - I suspect it would be a no but at this stage I'm desperate
