Having recently purchased a 2010 geared inbred I have to say I am impressed. I always thought they looked like a "propper" bike and on the very short time I have so far spent on it, it feels like a propper bike.

I had toyed with the idea for some time and had 2010 down as the year for a new modern steel hard tail. I would have loved a look at a pace 104, but cost at the moment was a huge factor. I fell in love with a freinds Cotic soul, but again it is only 100 grams or so lighter frame for frame, at a cost of a couple of hundred pounds extra.

Nothing else compares price wise.

I do need to find a shorter stem though!

I had an On-One Inbred from about 2003/4 ish decked out with M950 XTR.

It was very disappointing.

Its was very 'dead' cross country and there was no spring I'd expected from a steel frame. Climbing was no fun. My Voodoo was better.

I vote bad, I dont see what the fuss is about.

HOWEVER - I might buy another to see if they're any better.

Voted okay as if they get people out MTBing because they're affordable then that's a good thing.

I personally woudn't buy one..too hooked on Retro brands I'm afraid.

I had one, and didn't like it.

Although I am prepared to say that is down to my not doing the kind of riding it was designed for very often.

Still, for the secondhand value of an Inbred you can get something much, much better if you are prepared to buy an older machine.
