Good point - there's always another side to the coin. No sense in someone bemoaning a lack of attractive women about the place if they themselves look like Harry Redknapp on a bad day.

I have to admit more and more these days when I'm out I think 'christ love, you really shouldn't be wearing that!'

Fashion has deciced that every woman these days should squeeze into leggings and overdo it with the fake tan, problem is only a small percantage can carry it off!

What's worse though is the attitudes, a lot of women in my neck of the woods are quite frankly not work even approaching or talking to.

Now I take it most of you who contribute here could have another half and are so, settled ? If so, do you think what you used to think was a stunner and what you now think is so is different ? Basically have you lost your attract-o-meter via getting settled and by that happy, so you don't see a potential suitor anymore when they appear and when you do, you think whats's their cooking like rather than how good they are beneath the sheets?

I don't remember thinking either when I have met someone. These are things you find out if there is a spark there.

When you've had a long-term relationship with a woman who is all looks and high fashion maintenance, then the other stuff suddenly seems a lot more important.

When I met my wife (who's a more natural good-looker) I knew right away that I could see myself having kids with her. I never felt that with my ex, even after 7 years.

I can, however, assure you chaps that there are also plenty of mingers in my adopted country, once you get out of the more glamorous big cities. But you might be right about the percentage being a bit lower.....

Yes, I have found that also, where the immigrant is polite and friendly and meets you on the same level, our own are arrogant and aggressive and not particularly good looking either. And that reinforced with my trip out on saturday, an all women event I got invited to, all I got was scowls and nasty comment from my own people, the immigrants on the other hand were fantastic, our people could learn something from the foreigner instead of trying to repel them. But perhaps that is it, why some of our people try to repel the immigrant because the immigrant shows our indigenous in a bad light.
