Anyone Using Dyna-Drive?

Dura Ace AX and EX it seems used a 1" axle pedal back in the day, found this out on Google/velobase, was wondering since I found a Shimano wrench i had no idea what was for:

Any of you guys still use these pedals?

I have them on several bikes, but using them? No. The particular bikes are garage queens. From what I've heard I can tell they offer great pedal feel. Another well known opinion is that they develop play quite easily. Whether that seriously constraints function I doubt.

Back in the day when I used DA AX pedals I found that the bearing used to burn out after some 10,000 miles!

Would never use them again but looks the nuts now.

I have a couple of sets of these but they are boxed at the moment pending a future build. You don't happen to have the pedal spanner too? The one to remove the bearings.

yeah, overdue must be the right word. Been busy selling this seasons bikes, and building new for next season, This season we where screwed on our bike deal/sponsor we have just got our race bikes now, been riding the training bikes all season. Next season should be better, it´s Italian it´s...

Sadly we won´t be riding Protos frames, since the distributor wants to promote the return of the Idol frame. But we do return to Shimano (thank god) did NOT like the SRAM Red

I have a friend how had the use of one of the above (or very similar) last year and he loved it. Oddly, he is reverting back to MtBs though. Lovely stealthy bike - checking my lottery now!
