Anyone run Mainovative Cheap Tricks

Hi
Hoping to find someone with experience with these brakes....how do you unlock the circular cable lock....tried 1.5 and 2mm allen, neither of which fit.
Am I missing something :?:

Chances are that they are imperial sized, as were most top end, boutique american stuff of the time (Grafton, Bullseye etc)

Erm...OK, gonna find a set of imperial allens, maybe this is a silly q, but +/- what does 1.5/2.00mm equate to in imperial.
Probably just going to buy a set but making sure what I get is within the range I need...if you see what I mean.

I've always used normal allen keys (can't remember the size, tho, and I'm not at home at the moment). Are you sure the round thing isn't ruined?

Mmmm...I don't think so, the bike they came from pretty much never used. I can just see the allen (with my glasses on ) and it doesn't look stripped etc.

pretty sure its a 1/16" (sixteenth of an inch) allen key, roughly equating to 1.6mm (1.5875mm). But the hex is small enough that a 1.5 key will spin. . . Use a decent key, as the grubscrew is tiny, 1/8" UNF I think.

Thanks Matey, have a set of imperials on the way. Think you are right. My metrics are good quality snap-ons, not going to force the issue, will wait for imps to arrive.

yup...it was 1/16. why didn't i think of that in the first place
