Anyone put their xmas decs up yet??

Well, in this age of austerity, those that light their houses up with xmas decorations show those who work by dishonest means who has got quite literally money to burn.

For the love of god silverslaws you sould like some upper clas kid who has just come home for christmas to his parents estate after one term at university having read a copy of das kapital full of half baked ideaology about the opression of the masses yet gladly takes daddy's allowance to keep him in toasted crumpets.

I don't think that the only reason people put decorations up outside their houses is to show the down trodden and opressed masses what their hard work (rather than dishonesty) has brought them. It simply comes down to them having no taste and wanting to display their lack of it like a peacock with it's feathers.

Ok, I will back off, but xmas holds too many bad memories for me, If I could afford it, I would escape to a muslim country to be rid of it, but can't, so I have to endure it every year.

I like the idea of a German Santa Klaus who comes down the chimney and steals your processions.
So at least once a year you sit up opposite the fireplace ,shotgun in hand waiting for the bugger to show himself
