Been put of buying a Fiat for life - a mate has just offloaded his 57 Punto which was more Lemony than Hufty off "The Word" licking Jif off the 1986 Tour de France Winner's maillot jaune (Lemon d).

What went wrong? Everything. Even the paint.

They are certainly getting better. I have owned both a cinquecento and a MK1 punto and had no problems with either. Im not saying there arent still alot of dodgy fiats about but they are improving a lot. People just dont speak about the ones that dont have problems.

Well there is that, but there's more than one marque that have done their fair share for their reputation.
