It was at 18/19

It had a switchable reverse so technically could do the same speed in reverse

Everything is crazy money for anything half decent / iconic / nostalgic.
First time in my life I’ve not had a fast car or bike. I do miss the bikes but not the car
I’d like a super mint Nova GSI but they are again crazy money
I was hoping we'd begin to see prices drop so it becomes a buyers market.
I always wanted a motorbike but never had the balls to do it.
I'd love a Nova but again it's the cost and the rust which is inevitable on any classic unless it's mint or restored. I had a Nova saloon many years ago. I remember my mate having a Nova SR when we was young... that was a nice looking thing. It was late one, possibly J reg? in a lovely bright blue... did they become 1.4 by then?
Again, this is years ago, my mate and his dad both built themselves a Westfield each with Fireblade engines... Christ they were terrifying. No windscreen or anything.
The quickest thing I've ever drove was my dad's 400bhp Evo 8. I was shaking the first time I thrashed it!
Indeed...SR was 1.4 yeh.
I had quite a few back in the day. Most ended up with 2.0 16v red top conversions as it was cheap and easy to do yourself.
I’d like a nova sport but they are super crazy money. But a GSI in silk violet would be cool.
Yep the fireblade engines 7 cars are crazy. See mine above. The felt faster than they were though.
I also had a few evos running 350-400 and they are very capable cars. But again now lots of money for a nice one.
Nostalgia is expensive it seems
Indeed...
I bet the red top Nova's were fun!
It's not all about speed for me anymore, I'd be happy with something simple to look after. A MK1 Astra would be perfect.
