So I've been in North London for 3 years with the girlfriend. I'm in my mid 20's, barely make a living as a composer for film/ads etc but my career is always building up and networking with more people.
I've only just started to get used to London, I come from the sticks in North Wales, and have missed beaches, woodlands, mountains a lot while being here. I like the fact I can get fresh rice noodles from Chinatown, have the convenience of things sometimes but the pros don't outweigh the cons for me.
I think we've just got used to living in London and accepted it.
We've been to Brighton a few times on the train and it's taken as long as my commute to some jobs when I've lived in London. We like it there, but it is a bit expensive. I've heard Worthing is close and my mum says she spent time there when she was young and loved it. I've also read it's full of chavs.
We spent the night in Brighton last night and it made me realise how paranoid and uptight being in London has made me. People I came in contact with seemed so friendly, laid back, trustworthy etc. It made me realise how unhealthy people in London look. People seem to look really healthy in London, even if they're smoking and drinking. Must be the sun and stress free life maybe?
Anyway, anyone here live in the area? I've read Worthing, Kemptown and Hove are close. I don't have a car but it seems like we could just ride bikes along the prom to Brighton right?
Last night we went to the beach and I noticed a group of guys sitting round drinking about 9pm and they all had DH bikes. I take it there are places to ride as well?
Not really sure what I'm asking, would it be a good move?
