Anyone in/near Exmouth tooled up for MTB work?

I am wondering if any kind soul could help me out if I become seriously unstuck rebuilding my proflex. I don't have any MTB related tools at all - just stuff which can be used on the MTB which I use on the car.

I'm also not very adept at the finer things like setting up V-brakes or the gearing.... Also going to be some things like grease-gun to service my Pace RC36 forks, and same for my SPDs.

Can easily ship my bike in the car, so small distances not an issue

there are some VERY good articles on parktool.com on how to do stuff like set gears

the good news is, about 90% of jobs on a decent bike can be done with 5, 6 and 8mm allen keys

other than that, a BB tool and cassette lockring tool are about a fiver each

If you have no luck finding someone nearby, there are some handy "how to" videos here too: http://bicycletutor.com/

As said before most jobs can be done with a set of allen keys, which you probably already have and perhaps a half decent large adjustable wrench.

Other than that you might need:

A crank extractor: http://www.google.co.uk/products?hl=en&q=crank+extractor+tool&scoring=p

A bottom bracket tool:
http://www.google.co.uk/products?hl=en&safe=off&q=bottom+bracket+tool&scoring=p the type you need will depend on whether you have an older square taper type cartridge bottom bracket or the newer external type.

A chain breaker: http://www.google.co.uk/products?q=chain+breaker&hl=en&scoring=p

A cassette lockring removal tool: http://www.google.co.uk/products?q=cassette+lockring+removal+tool&hl=en&scoring=p

A chain whip: http://www.google.co.uk/products?q=chain+whip&hl=en&scoring=p

A set of cone spanners: http://www.google.co.uk/products?q=cone+spanners&hl=en&scoring=p

You could probably get the whole lot for £30 to £40 and will save trips to the LBS for every little problem in the future.

I'm in Tiverton and reasonably well equipped for the basic stuff. Let me know if there is anything specific you need help with.

Regarding stuff for Pace forks, I recently had great service from Tim at Fork English who seems to be the UK Guru for all things Pace. He found me a set of replacement elastomers for my RC35's. Contact him on 01751 476815 or via Flickr F.E.P.D.2010

I am in exmouth not got many tools though, a guy from on here lives in painton gives me help. If I can help give me a shout
