I have my eye on a very small item on ebay.de which I hope wont go for a lot of money. The problem I have is that the seller wont take paypal, as is the way with much of ebay.de. For me to do an iban transfer it costs me £25 admin fee at my bank. This will likely be a huge percentage of the final auction price of the item I am after.

Is there any one in Germany who is willing to accept a paypal from me and then make a transfer to the seller?

I also may need help with shipping, I am awaiting a response from the seller as to if he will send to the UK.

Iban fee really is daft, I can almost fly to Germany and back for less than the transfer cost!

Cheers.

I might be in Germany in the next week or so, If he can post it to my hotel, I can bring it back to the UK. Its a very loose plan at the moment so might not happen.

I have to arrange an iban today.I thought maybe a tenner max but if its £25 then F*** that.the bloody rim is already costing me 50EUR

This is because in Germany transfers are free, but outside you pay far higher than any paypal fee
Cant see why they cant have a PP account too, especially as the buyer is covering the fees
Tight arses :?

Just got feedback and he is happy to post to the UK at cost. Just hope I can work around the Iban issue with him other wise its going to cost me as much in fees as the item costs (if I win it!)

Thanks for the offer UKtyler, I'll be in touch if the bidding pays off and I cant come to a direct agreement with the seller.

It is a tiny item, padded A5 envelope sort of stuff, and probably weighs less than the envelope its self.
