Anyone grow tomatoes?

Well thanks a lot for your input guys. Here are some pictures of the two little guys. I've trimmed off all the brown bits and am hoping that they will now spend their time rejuvenating the leaves if that's possible. As you can see they have hardly any leaves now and are looking very bare. I also lopped off the top of the main stalk which was obvioulsy dead.

I will now hold off on any fertilizer as I'd been using that still and will only water them when the soil drys out.

Any other tips would be great.

They're better than I was expecting and are definitely still alive!
As there doesn't seem to be any sign of disease, the tomatoes are best left on the plant to ripen; they might continue to grow a bit or may just ripen at the size they are. I don't think there's much chance of the plants recovering enough to produce any more worthwhile fruit.
Do keep them moist though, tomatoes are really thirsty.

oh, and the banana skin trick really does help to encourage ripening off the plant... I wouldn't bother with the snooker ball though!

I've just noticed that the containers they're growing in look a bit small -they'd probably have been better in bigger pots really. And although tomatoes demand loads of water they also need good drainage.
Personally I would continue to feed them so they can 'build up enough strength' to try and develop the small fruit..

Well that's promising. Cheers.

Come on me beauties.

Such a shame as they were twice as high and super bushy with so many leaves before.
