Anyone got any insight on this frameset?

Hello all

Was hoping someone with more experience than me could help me with any info regarding this lo pro I've bought.. Bought off here from Kingbling (thanks the frame is lovely) as a Pat Rohan - Ron Thomas built with Reynolds 753 tubing. looks like it's been repainted fairly recently.

The main thing I'd like to confirm is whether it's def 753 tubing. is there a rock solid way to tell?

The frame is 1.94kg
The forks are 0.66kg according to my cheapo luggage scale

27.0 Seatpost, but I haven't confirmed that myself.

Any knowledge shared is much appreciated

Looking forward to seeing it built up (Build Thread) if you need anything else for it let me know.
I spoke to the guy at the bike shop where I got it from and it was painted back in 2005

Re:

Very nice frame, love the lugs, seat cluster, cable guides color... Enjoy the build

Sorry I cannot be of any help on defining the tubeset but 1.6ish Kg is very light and the build quality is very nice. Who cares about the tube nrs. it's all about the looks

Saba frameset quite possibly as the BB has the Saba logo clearly visible..

Re:

Accurate weighing and perhaps the rear triangle stiffness test should let you know if it's 753, if your scales are right it most likely is, nice looking frame.

Thank you guys, much appreciated. It's a lovely frameset and looks nicely made, cool internal cable routing for the rear derailleur and brake cables too.

Nob thanks for id'ing the BB shell, i didn't recognise it. If it is a Saba (italian?) frameset is it still possible that they would have used Reynolds tubing?

One thing that springs to my mind is that in the early days, Tommasini branded his bikes Thomas as it was thought they would be easier to market outside Italy.
I spotted another one recently, not sure if the seatstays were the same though. I will try and remember where I seen it.

Can you see any brazing anywhere? 753 was silver brazed.

Aside from the size of the seat tube or weighing it , the frame sounds different when you ping it plus when you pick it up its a bit nose heavy compared to a 531 frame. Mind you the lighter Columbus tube sets also felt lighter on the rear than 531.
